Meet Wil!

Support Worker

Hello!

About Wil

I am someone who has always had a natural instinct to help others and support those around me. I take pride in making people feel valued, understood, and confident in their abilities. I bring a calm, friendly, and patient approach to my work, which helps create a safe and positive environment. Building genuine, trusting relationships is very important to me, and I strive to ensure that the people I support feel comfortable and respected at all times.

In my personal time, I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors. I have a strong interest in sport, particularly football and surfing, and I value the physical and mental benefits that come with an active lifestyle. I also really enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, as these connections are important to my overall wellbeing and happiness.

I chose to become a support worker because I am passionate about helping people live more independent, meaningful, and fulfilling lives. I find it incredibly rewarding to support individuals in achieving their goals, building their confidence, and reaching their full potential. Whether it’s helping someone develop new skills or simply being there to listen and understand, I value every opportunity to make a positive difference.

My approach to support is both person centred and strengths based. I focus on each individual’s abilities, goals, and preferences, rather than their limitations. I aim to provide support in a way that is respectful, empowering, and safe, while encouraging independence and choice. Creating a positive, supportive environment where individuals feel in control, capable, and confident is at the core of everything I do.
