Meet Tom!
Support Worker
Hello!
About Tom
I am an energetic and easy-going support worker who loves being involved in a wide variety of activities with my clients. Outside of support work, I am a keen basketballer and currently play for the Woodville Warriors. I’ve also recently spent time playing college basketball over in the States, which was a great experience that helped me grow both on and off the court.
In my spare time, I also enjoy coaching high school basketball, going to the beach with mates and spending time at my shack on the Murray River. I became a support worker because I genuinely enjoy helping people grow, build confidence, and achieve their goals, regardless of their abilities and circumstances. Having family members who received support through the NDIS and disability sector, I’ve also seen firsthand the positive difference good support can make in someone’s everyday life. I wanted to be able to provide the same support and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
My approach focuses on clear communication, encouraging independence and giving each client the choice and confidence to be involved in their own support. I believe building a genuine connection is key to creating a relaxed, positive environment where they feel comfortable and supported.
