Meet Mable!
Support Worker
Hello!
About Mable
I’m all about sport, fun, and making people smile! Growing up in the country taught me the importance and value of community, hard work, and always lending a hand. As a disability support worker, I love bringing good energy and a can-do attitude to every day. Whether it’s kicking a footy, having a laugh, or helping someone reach a goal, I’m there for it. I’m passionate about people, connection, and making life a little brighter.
Experience
I’ve been working for Bridging Barriers for roughly 18 months now, and am currently studying nursing so have lots of experience with lots of different types disabilities, but have mostly worked with people with physical and intellectual disabilities! During this time I’ve only worked with adult and elderly clients, but am open to working with anyone and everyone!
Services Offered
Having nursing experience, I’m confident in all personal care and assisting with ADLs of all kinds.
I also love gardening, and am happy to help out with cleaning!
I have no qualification but can understand and have basic skills using Auslan.
Seeing people thrive within the community is something that really makes me happy, so I’m more than happy to help facilitate that by driving, walking, running to accompany and help getting involved!
I am very much a talker and enjoy a good chat with a brick wall, but I love even more talking to people and making connections!
