Meet Lucinda!
Senior Social Worker / Melbourne Manager
Hello!
About Lucinda
Lucinda is a highly experienced Senior Social Worker with a strong background supporting individuals, children, young people and families with complex and diverse needs. She specialises in trauma informed support, disability, psychosocial needs, family support, advocacy, risk assessment and complex case management.
Lucinda has extensive experience working within the foster care sector and across programs contracted by the Department for Child Protection (DCP), supporting children, young people and families both during and following their involvement with the child protection system. Through this work, she has developed a strong understanding of the complexities of child protection, foster care and the ongoing impacts these experiences can have on individuals and families.
She is experienced in supporting people through challenging circumstances, advocating for their needs and working collaboratively with families, carers, government agencies and other professionals to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes. Her experience extends beyond active child protection involvement, including supporting young people and families as they transition from formal systems and navigate life after care.
A key focus of Lucinda’s practice is providing trauma informed, person centred and strengths based support. She understands the significant and lasting impact that trauma, disrupted relationships and experiences within the care system can have on a person’s wellbeing, relationships, behaviour and ability to engage with services. Lucinda works to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected and empowered, while ensuring support is tailored to their individual experiences, needs and goals.
Lucinda is also skilled in psychosocial assessment, service navigation, multidisciplinary collaboration and supporting people experiencing complex life circumstances. Her approach considers the whole person and the broader factors that may be impacting their wellbeing, independence and quality of life.
Based in Melbourne, Lucinda provides telehealth appointments for clients living in Adelaide and throughout South Australia. She is also available for face-to-face appointments for clients based in Melbourne, providing flexible and accessible support based on each person’s individual needs and preferences.
