Meet Jamie!
Support Worker
Hello!
About Jamie
I am an energetic and enthusiastic support worker who loves being involved in a wide range of activities with my clients. When I’m not doing support work, I work as a physiotherapist at PhysioXtra Marion and play basketball for the Sturt Sabres.
I became a support worker because of my strong belief in supporting and promoting equitable treatment for people with disabilities. My family has worked in the NDIS and disability sector for many years, and I have also seen first-hand the difference a skilled support worker can make in improving a client’s quality of life.
My approach focuses on promoting independence and agency for each client, with an emphasis on effective communication and tailoring support to their individual needs
Experience
I have experience working with individuals with intellectual, physical, and autism-related disabilities. I currently hold a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, which has provided me with training in a range of manual handling techniques. Most of my experience is with young adults and teenagers.
