Meet Ana!

Support Worker

Hello!

About Ana

I am currently working full time in the disability support work industry, looking into beginning a nursing degree to further my knowledge and attempt to strengthen adequate support systems for those in need. My desire to foster independence, build meaningful relationships and make a meaningful difference in peoples lives are the sole reasons I became a disability support worker, and also the reasons I continue to love my job and admire Bridging Barriers each day! Day to day,  I enjoy exercise, arts and craft and a good chick flick. I love to talk, about anything and everything! I’m an energetic and enthusiastic person, with the ability to be calm and mindful when need be. I take more of a person centred approach to support, focusing on each client's specific needs and goals. I believe every individual has their strengths, and its incredibly important for support workers to not only help someone complete tasks they may not be able to, but also to help them develop their own life skills and continuously work toward independence when able to.
