Meet Amielia!

Compliance & People Operations Manager

Hello!

I am an Occupational Therapist with experience supporting people across the lifespan, including children, adults and older adults. I have worked in the disability sector for over eight years, supporting individuals with daily living skills, assistive technology, and achieving meaningful goals through person centred supports. I completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master of Occupational Therapy at Flinders University.

Alongside my clinical experience, I have developed strong knowledge of the NDIS through previous work in plan management, where I supported participants to understand their plans and connect with appropriate supports.

At Bridging Barriers, I support the organisation’s operations, compliance, and registration requirements. My role also involves workflow & systems improvement, auditing, digital operations, and HR workflows to help ensure the organisation continues to operate effectively. I balance my work at Bridging Barriers with ongoing clinical practice as an Occupational Therapist, which allows me to maintain a strong connection to person centred care.

Outside of work, I love spending time with friends, going for walks with my dogs, and staying active through playing soccer.

I am incredibly proud of the team that has been built at Bridging Barriers and feel honoured to work alongside such a dedicated group of professionals and wonderful clients. I look forward to continuing to support the growth of the organisation and helping our clients lead meaningful lives and achieve their goals.
